The Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) is deeply concerned by the abduction and disappearance of Pastor Raymond Koh Keng Joo of Harapan Komunti.
We understand that Pastor Raymond Koh works with communities and all people who are in need. The work of people of faith in such communities must be free from threats of violence and intimidation.
Pastor Raymond was abducted on Monday morning, 13 February, on a public road in Kelana Jaya, reportedly by five masked men in multiple SUVs, who forced the pastor off the road as the latter was driving. Both Pastor Raymond and the car he was driving (an old silver Honda Accord licence plate number ST 5515 D) remain missing to date.
We pray for the success of law enforcement and investigating officers to locate the missing pastor and bring him to safety.
We pray that God, in His Mercy, will enlighten the hearts of his abductors to release Pastor Raymond Koh unharmed to his family.
We ask the authorities to conduct a quick and thorough investigation of this incident and bring to justice its perpetrators.
We call on the churches to pray for the prompt release of Pastor Raymond and that he be returned safely to his family.
Yours Sincerely,
Revd Dr Eu Hong Seng,
Chairman and the Executive Committee,
The Christian Federation of Malaysia.
